Meeting Minutes:

 

  • Note: FGHOA Members entered and signed attendance sheet. Ken Bakalar, Min Liu, and Michael Wolmetz collected proxy ballots and reviewed the attendance sign in sheet to calculate FGHOA representation. Ken, Min, and Michael provided the official household representation count: 64 households are represented. Quorum requires 52 household to be represented. For the FGHOA 2018 Annual Meeting, quorum is met.
  • President’s Introduction
    • Charlie Liebetrau announces the FGHOA household representation count of 64 homes meets quorum requirements and begins the FGHOA meeting
    • Charlie presents the FGHOA Annual Meeting Agenda. Motion was made to approve the agenda.
      • All FGHOA representation in attendance approves the motion to pass the agenda

    • Board Introductions
      • Charlie introduces the current FGHOA Board Members:
        • Charlie Liebetrau
        • Bob Canter
        • Carmen de Perignat
        • Steve Kwon
        • Steven Slater
        • Paul Witting
      • Charlie also introduces Eugenia Mays, a professional community property manager who volunteer to support the FGHOA Annual meeting
      • Carmen introduced the FGHOA Architectural and Environmental Control Committee (AECC): 6 current members support the AECC (originally started the year with 12 members)
    • President’s Message
      • Charlie emphasized that the Board’s focus was to continue to follow the prescribed rules as documented in our FGHOA governing documents and applicable laws
      • Charlie acknowledge that the Board had many debates over projects that ensure we followed the prescribed rules, which impeded some of the Board’s progress
      • FG Homeowner thanked the Board for keeping the trail in good condition
      • FG Homeowner questioned the lack of communication to the neighborhood and recommended that the next board continues to keep communication with the community current
    • FGHOA 2017 Accomplishments
      • Charlie provided a summary of the Board’s accomplishments and provided details for each project
    • Proposed Projects for 2018
      • Charlie reviewed the proposed projects for 2018 and reminded the community that the newly elected Board will take control over the projects for the new year
    • Financial Review and Proposed Budget
      • Paul Witting reviewed the expenditures and financials for 2017 and the proposal budget for 2018
      • Motion to approve the proposed 2018 budget, FG Homeowner seconds the motion
        • All approve
        • No objections
      • 2018 FGHOA Budget is passed
    • Committee Review
      • Carmen provided AECC summary of requests and approvals
    • Request for New Board Members – Election
      • Charlie announced the nominations for the Board
      • Nominations included
        • Subhasis Datta
        • Carmen de Perignat
        • Steven Slater
        • Paul Witting
        • Vicky Lutwak
      • Charlie makes the motion to have only 5 FGHOA Board Members for the 2018 term even though the 2017 term had 7 FGHOA Board Members.
        • Motion to have only 5 FGHOA Board Members was approved
        • All approve
        • No objections
      • During the nominations, Lee Canter read Bob Canter’s resignation letter to the community, explaining Bob’s reasons for resigning from the FGHOA Board
      • During the nominations, Carmen de Perignat read her resignation statement and reason for resigning from the FGHOA Board
      • Charlie requested the community for another nomination to meet the 5 FGHOA Board Members motion
      • John McLean volunteered to be nominated for the board
      • The election had the following Board Member for nomination for the 5 FGHOA Board Member positions:
        • Subhasis Datta
        • Steven Slater
        • Paul Witting
        • Vicky Lutwak
        • John McLean
      • FGHOA Justin was the election official and gathered and counted all votes. The final votes for the FGHOA Board Members:
        • Subhasis Datta: 37 Votes
        • Paul Witting: 35 Votes
        • John McLean: 33 Votes
        • Vicky Lutwak: 25 Votes
        • Steven Slater: 11 Votes
