Situation:
- Playground is located on the County’s ‘Stream Buffer Zone’
- HOA is able to maintain current equipment, but not replace the entire playground
- Playground equipment is not commercial grade
- HOA has repaired and replaced certain items but we’ve reached the tipping point where repairs make little sense
- Mulching costs ~$3k every other year
- Treatments for carpenter bees have been paid for over the last 2 years

Despite conducting preventative tree work, large limbs and other tree debris often fall into the playground area.

Birds have pecked away at the wood, leaving many risks of splinters.

Erosion in key areas is unsafe.

Other structural erosion is unsightly.
